This week's verse:
Cœur de l'amant ouvert d'amour fertive
Dans le ruysseau fera ravyr la Dame,
Le demy mal contrefera lassive,
Le pere à deux privera corps de l'ame.
Translation for today:
The lover's heart opens in shame,
and rapes the woman in a stream
leaving her injured and tired:
this is how the soul is removed.
Meaning:
Who is the lover, and who is the woman? What's with the stream?
In today's political turmoil, this verse can only point to the continuing softwood lumber dispute between Canada and the United States.
Negotiators--on both sides--should remember the bigger picture and not get carried away by rhetoric! They should also keep their backs to the wall and stay away from the water cooler.
Heartless and shameless striving only for material gain will lead to the Soul of the Forest being removed. This is why there's a scourge of pine beetles.
Is it too late? No. This verse is a warning, but perhaps the next verse will tell what will happen! |
